‘Morning After’ Pill Creates Tension with Pharmacists
According to a USAToday article on March 18, a group of pharmacists asked the Illinois Supreme Court to throw out a rule that forces them to dispense emergency contraception despite moral objections, claiming it amounts to illegal coercion.
I found the article very easy to read, and following the inverted pyramid rules quite instinctively. The article was written from the very specific to the general. The journalist also put the most important and most current information first. I basically got the gist of the article from the first two paragraphs. The proceeding paragraphs were mostly background, but did provide some good information that is relevant to the story.
The journalist was efficient at reporting on the most newsworthy event, the pharmacists actually asking the Supreme Court for the throwing out of the rule requiring them to give out the ‘morning after’ pill.
Although the article was a little wordy, especially in the background portion, it was written well and was objective which made it an easy and efficient read.
