Matthew McConaughey up close and personal
The life section of USA Today left me with a good feeling about actor Matthew McConaughey. The article discussed his up and coming project Fool’s Gold and his new baby on way. When word of his girlfriend’s pregnancy came about, he was in shock, but was happier than ever. The article got up close and personal with his life and the things that he surrounds in it.
I liked everything about the article, the style of writing, the descriptions of the actor throughout the interview, and the fact that I felt as though I now know him too. He is down to earth and just appreciative about life and the writer made that well known to his readers. It was interesting to follow his life from where he is now to where he started from in his debut Dazed and Confused. As Donna Freydkin continues, she travels and creates a time line of his life. She incorporates the various gestures that felt as though the reader is there watching the interview. She asks him about his life and where he lives and it just feels as though he is speaking right to you, as the reader, and the article flows as though a one-on-one conversation. I enjoyed the article and getting to know more about the actor.
